Kaie Warner BREA Biography

Ms. Kaie Warner

is an independently motivated sustainable energy consultant with project management experience across the Caribbean region in solar energy and downstream oil & gas. She currently serves as a Board Member on the Board of Directors for the Barbados Renewable Energy Association. Kaie was instrumental in the organization of the Student and Business Expo which was part of the Association Regional Renewable Energy Conference entitled, “Sustainable Energy Independence in the Caribbean: Making it Happen!” in November 2016.
After pursuing her first degree in engineering, she joined the operations team at Sol Caribbean Ltd and became immersed in the regional energy industry. She moved on from this position to expand her knowledge in sustainable energy development by completing a master’s course in Sustainable Energy and Entrepreneurship at the University of Nottingham. During this time, she also partnered with a German-Caribbean start-up to develop and implement solar PV projects in Barbados and Jamaica.
She now uses this knowledge and experience to help organizations develop and implement renewable energy and sustainability projects. Her research focus is business model innovation to accelerate renewable energy growth in developing countries.
