Mr. Rohan Ford

currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Barbados Renewable Energy Association as a Board Member. In 2016, Mr. Ford played an active role in the execution of the Association’s first ever Regional Conference on Renewable Energy entitled; “Sustainable Energy Independence in the Caribbean: Making it Happen!”. He has a deep passion for the renewable energy sector and sustainable development having completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Natural Resource and Environmental Management at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus. He also has a Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of the West Indies.
His passion for the renewable energy sector started in 2012 and 2013 as a research assistant for the Future Center Trust, where he conducted a base line study of the Green Business Barbados Programme and has a research assistant, on board the Future of Reefs in a Changing Environment (FORCE) project. An integrated research project which took an ecosystem approach, linking social and ecological aspects towards managing Caribbean coral reefs in the face of climate change. He later went on to work as a Business Development Manager with Megapower Limited, Barbados’ largest supplier of electric vehicles.

Currently, he is the Managing Director of Resurface Inc, a which focuses on rubber safety surfacing. It uses a mixture of virgin and recycled rubber to provide durable, long lasting, slip resistant product for numerous residential and commercial surfacing applications.
