The Barbados Renewable Energy Association was formerly established as a non-profit organization in 2011. A formal constitution and structure was put in place to govern all the activities of the Association.
To this end, the Association is formerly governed by a Board of Directors which consist of ten (10) members. The President is the head of the Association and the other key important portfolios include that of the Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer. They are also six (6) additional members who serves as part of this governing structure.
Effective January 3rd, 2017, a new Executive Director was formerly put in place to govern all activities and work programs of the BREA Secretariat. The Executive Director is supported in this role by the Technical Advisor, Mr. Clyde Griffith, who previously held the post of the Association’s first Executive Director. Mr. Clyde Griffith also serves as an Ex-Officio member of the Association’s Board of Directors.
