It was announced that Barbados received US$34 million for a liquefied natural gas (LNG) project. One of its objectives is to generate electricity as a transition strategy to renewable energy (RE).

BREA engaged a number of high-level Ministerial Heads on Wednesday December 5th, 2018 at the recently concluded High Level Ministerial Breakfast Meeting.
On December 4th, 2018 the Association hosted the validation workshop for the Integrated Climate Risk Management Roadmap for the country’s renewable energy sector.
